We have been hearing a few murmurs about the forthcoming Nexus 5 and they seem to be growing louder every day. Now, adding to these is a member on MacRumors forums who has posted an alleged photo of the LG Nexus 5. The forum member mentions that the phone is smaller than the recently-launched G2 and like it has very slim bezels. Its display, he noted, is not great. But this could very well be a prototype and the final device could be very different. The device in the photo though is consistent with previously leaked photos.
Italian website AndroidWorld.it (via GSMArena) recently got its hands on a Nexus 5 log, which reveals a lot of internal specifications. According to the log, the Nexus 5 is said to flaunt a 5-inch 1080p display with 442ppi pixel density and powered by a Snapdragon 800 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. It is also said to include features like an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front camera, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,300mAh battery with support for wireless charging. On the software front, the log notes that the device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
It’s not clear at the moment when the device will be launched, but some reports circulating on the Internet peg the end of October as a potential launch timeline.
