Google co-founder Sergey Brin and wife Anne Wojcicki have split up. “They have been living apart for several months. They remain good friends and partners,” a spokesperson for Brin and Wojcicki confirmed to All Things D. Wojcicki is the co-founder of personal genomics startup 23andMe, which has raised $100 million so far and both Brin and Google Ventures have major investments.
The couple married six years ago and have two children. It is speculated that Brin is romantically involved with a Google employee, which has resulted in the couple’s split. Wojcicki is the sister of Google SVP of advertising and commerce, Susan Wojcicki, in whose garage Google was founded.
