While Apple was busy unveiling the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S to the world, one company was busy taking potshots at every other thing Tim Cook and co. said on stage. Nokia took to Twitter to mock different aspects of Apple’s devices.
The first tweet went live the moment Apple announced the polycarbonate multi-colored iPhone 5C. With a photo of the Lumia range embedded in the tweet, Nokia simply said, “Imitation is the best form of flattery.” It was retweeted 7,000 times in less than 20 minutes. Another tweet followed short after, when Cook announced the gold colored iPhone 5S. The tweet showed the photo of Heisenberg from Breaking Bad and the words, “Real gangsters don’t use gold phones.”
Wrapping up the night, Nokia USA posted a short video (embedded below) of the 41-megapixel camera on the Nokia 1020, with the words, “8 megapixels? Aw, that’s cute. Apple, this is what real innovation looks like :)”
This is not the first time Nokia has taken to bashing/mocking a competitor. Its recent ad campaign has seen the Finnish company posting ads on YouTube that mocked the iPhone 5 and Samsung’s smartphones.
