Alleged photo of Sony’s Xperia Z2 leaked

A couple of weeks back Sony announced the Xperia Z1 at the IFA conference in Berlin. With a day to go beforeSony launches the phone in India, we are hearing about its successor tentatively called the ‘Avatar’ or Xperia Z2.

Androisas has posted a photo of what it claims to be this new device. The device in the photo looks quite similar to the Xperia Z1, but slimmer and sports very little bezel. The photo is too blurry to guess anything else. But from what is being said about the device, the Xperia Z2 will sport a 5.2-inch IGZO display supporting 500ppi and will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM. The device is likely to include a 20.7-megaxpixel rear camera with 4K video capture and is likely to run on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Along with the Xperia Z1 mini, the Xperia Z2 may also make an appearance at the CES in 2014. It’s too early to comment on the authenticity of the above photo and we would advise you to take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.
