A couple of days back various online retail stores started accepting pre-orders for Lava’s Iris 506Q alongside the Iris 505. The Indian smartphone vendor has now officially launched the Iris 506Q for Rs 10,999.
To remind you of the specifications, the Iris 506Q sports a 5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display with OGS technology and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Other features included are a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, VGA camera at the front, 4GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card and a 2,000mAh battery, which according to the company can survive 330 minutes of talktime.
Talking of the connectivity options, the phone features dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS and on the software front, the device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and Lava has promised that users will receive future software updates over the air.
Priced at Rs 10,999, the Iris 506Q will face some stiff competition from the likes of Zen Ultrafone 701HD and Celkon A119Q Signature HD among others.
