The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S both support TD-LTE in Band 40, which is the same that is being used by upcoming LTE networks in India including Airtel and RIL’s Jio Infocomm. So in theory at least, till we don’t have an official confirmation about the carriers supporting the new iPhones, bot the devices should work on Indian LTE networks.
However, in practice, the iPhones that support TD-LTE are different than what would be available in the US and other markets. In all probability, these models (iPhone 5S A1530 and iPhone 5C A1529) seem to be headed for China. Both the models support the following bands: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20); TD-LTE (Bands 38, 39, 40).
