BlackBerry Z30 announced with a 5-inch display and running on BB10.2 OS

After a lot of rumors and conjectures, BlackBerry has quietly announced a new flagship phablet called the BlackBerry Z30. The phablet goes on sale in select markets next month, though there is currently no word on pricing or when it will come to India.
“The [Z30] is designed for people looking for a smartphone that excels at communications, messaging and productivity. Having apps like the full Documents To Go suite that comes preinstalled, together with its 5-inch touch display, the BlackBerry Z30 smartphone gives you a best in class productivity experience on the go,” said Carlo Chiarello, Executive Vice President for Products at BlackBerry, in a statement.
Talking of specifications, the Z30 flaunts a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Other features included are 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card and a battery that the company claims will last up to 25 hours. On the software front, the device runs on BlackBerry 10.2 OS.
Though BlackBerry hasn’t revealed any kind of pricing, one thing is clear, this phablet won’t come cheap. You can see a small demo of the phablet in action in the video below.
