Late last month, we first heard about the Micromax Canvas Fun A63 when @MMXNewscaster leaked details of the budget Android smartphone. The device has now become available on e-commerce sites in India for Rs 6,799 (spotted by NDTVGadgets) ahead of an official launch by the company.
According to the listing on various portals, the Canvas Fun A63 sports a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek 6572 processor, supplemented by 512MB RAM. Other features included are a 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA secondary camera at the front, 1GB of expandable internal storage and a 1,500mAh battery that is said to be good enough for 4.5 hours of talk time and 135 hours of standby time.
Connectivity-wise, the device features dual-SIM card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth and on the software front, runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
In the past few weeks, Micromax has launched a slew of budget devices like the Canvas Fun A74, Canvas A76 and Bolt A67 among others. Earlier today, it also launched the Bolt A40, which features a 4.5-inch display, 1GHz processor and runs on an outdated Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.
