Australia all-rounder Adam Voges feels that the beginning of the new-look domestic season could be vital for players to present their case for selection in the Test side for the return Ashes in November.
"If you look at the fixtures that have come out, there's going to be an opportunity for a few guys there to press their claims at the start of the season," Voges said, according to an AAP report published in theSydney Morning Herald.
"There's probably plenty of guys in that boat who want to press their claims.
"At the moment my focus is purely on this [ODI] series for now and we'll look at the Shield season when we get there."
