High resolution press renderings of the Sony Xperia Z1 surface

Sony’s buzz making Xperia Z1 aka the Honami smartphone has been spotted yet again in a fresh set of official press renderings gathered by the Xperia blog through an unnamed Asian retailer. These high-resolution images shows off the whole of the device’s front as well as the back and sides as well. These images also confirm some already known features including a powerful Sony G powered 20-megapixel snapper at the rear, and the company’s ‘Xperia Z’ series centered design language.
Besides the camera details mentioned on the side of the camera on the phone, one can see the speaker holes on the bottom edge of the phone, power on/off, volume and camera key structure as well as the microSD and SIM card slot placements. Also, while the basic design remains the same as that of the previous ‘Z’ series models, the metallic chassis of the phone in the images appears to carry slightly different color tones on sides.
The phone will come with a 5-inch 1080p display with Sony’s Triluminus display technology, run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and be powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2GB of RAM.
The Xperia Z is set to be unveiled tomorrow, hours before the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear. Sony is believed to also launch a new attachable camera for smartphones. The Xperia Z is expected to belaunched in India on September 18 for close to Rs 50,000.
