Samsung Galaxy S4 spotted running Tizen OS

The world has been awaiting to see what comes out of Samsung’s efforts on Tizen and it seems we would have to wait a wee bit longer for that. Tizenindonesia has posted a set of photos that show off a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone with Tizen 3.0 running on it and highlight a rather flat user interface of the OS.
As seen in these photos, the Tizen 3.0 UI not only looks flat but also has a much simpler navigation system and an uncomplicated structure. It also shows a different placement of notifications in different modes. While one of the photos has the notification bar placed on the bottom of the lockscreen, another highlights full notification alerts on the lockscreen. In another photo, one can notice the notifications bar with volume controllers given on the bottom of the music player app.

So far, rumors have suggested that Samsung will most likely to not use Tizen OS on any further smartphone, which means it will rather use the OS on just one smartphone. The UI as seen on the leaked images also does not really show much innovation and looks experimental at the moment. However, considering that the images could possibly be showing off an early stage of the OS, there are changes that it might alter in the final version.
The report claims that the phone will be launched in the first quarter of 2014, though we have our doubts about that happening.
