Like Apple’s iPhone 5S, Samsung’s next smartphones to house 64-bit chip

Barely a day after Apple unveiled the iPhone 5S with a 64-bit chip, Samsung Samsung says it too is ready with a 64-bit chipset for its upcoming smartphones. According to a report by Korean Times, Samsung’s mobile business head JK Shin has revealed that the Korean company will launch smartphones with 64-bit processing capability. “Not in the shortest time. But yes, our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality,” Shin was quoted.
Though Samsung has mentioned to bring the 64 bit processor power to its next smartphone hardware, it is not clear, which Samsung smartphone will be the first to be powered by one such chip. In all probability it would be the Galaxy S5, which is expected to be launched in March next year.
